Take the First Step

The Park Ridge Wellness team outlines the following three steps to get you on the path to wellness:

Step 1: Make a Commitment. This first step will empower you to improve your whole self-body, mind and spirit. Everything you do, think and believe impacts your health and well-being. Only you can make the choices that will allow you to live a longer, healthier and happier life.

Step 2: Get Informed. Once you've made the commitment, the next step is to educate yourself about your current health and what you can do to improve it. There are four key numbers that are indicators of good health:

  • Blood pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Glucose
  • Body mass index (BMI)

We will help you discover your numbers and show you how to improve them. This information is then used to calculate your risk for major chronic diseases. It's important to remember that some risk factors can be controlled with lifestyle changes (i.e., cholesterol, blood pressure) while others cannot (i.e., family history of disease).

Step 3: Start Moving. As you continue on the path to better health, we will help you to develop a plan of action to reduce your risks and improve your overall health. From daily group fitness classes, health screenings and periodic wellness seminars to one-on-one nutritional counseling and wellness coaching, we have a wealth of tools available to keep you moving forward towards your health and wellness goals.
