Rehabilitation Services

At Park Ridge Health, we offer a comprehensive range of programs for orthopedic and neurological clients. Our highly-trained professionals assess the patient's injury or disability and design a personal treatment plan.

And, when you combine state-of-the-art technology with progressive treatment, patients and medical staff have the best chance to attain their goals. We are committed to four goals:

  • High-quality medical care
  • Reaching maximum level of recovery after an injury or illness
  • Wellness
  • Prevention

Our therapy services include aquatic therapy, hand therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy. (Not all locations offer every service. Please call specific offices listed below for more information.)

Check out any of these five convenient locations:

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is an integral part of rehabilitation. These services help people who have been disrupted by injury, disease, aging or developmental problems. Services provided include, but are not limited to:

Physical Therapy

In this 6,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, patients disabled by musculoskeletal and neurological disorders benefit from treatments such as:

Aquatic Physical Therapy

Aquatic therapy is provided at the new Lelia Patterson Center, across the street from Park Ridge Health at the intersection of Howard Gap Road and Naples Road. We are able to treat up to four patients per day. This program uses warm water, hot water and/or cool water pools based on our guest's specific needs.

Patients do not need have to know how to swim. Most patients who are a little uncomfortable in the water do well after several visits; however, we do not recommend aquatic physical therapy for someone who experiences excessive fear of water.

Patients must be continent and able to safely change clothes and get to the pool independently or with family/caretaker assistance. We do have a special handicap changing room and a lift for getting into the pool for non-ambulatory patients.

Medicare and most insurance will cover aquatic physical therapy with a physician's prescription, but the prescription must specify aquatic therapy.
