The Baby Place Features

The Baby Place experience begins with valet parking where our guests are then whisked away to the comfort of their large, private family suite and provided with a luxurious robe and slippers. First and foremost, the Baby Place staff provides compassionate care. Traditional delivery, natural labor and midwifery and low-intervention births are all options for baby's delivery. Obstetricians, pediatricians and pediatric hospitalists are all board certified to ensure that you and baby receive the best care possible through all stages of pregnancy, birth and post-care follow up. The Baby Place staff is with you the whole way. We help you and your family to bond with your baby from the beginning. In fact, after birth, the baby stays in the room with mom and family.

The Virtual Baby Place

The Baby Place now offers an online community that is accessible to new moms and their families. This makes it easy to connect with staff through their blogs and to reach out to other parents for advice and tips via online forums. It's parenting advice at your fingertips.

Classes and Support

Park Ridge Health was recently awarded the Golden Bow Award from the North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition (NCBC). This prestigious award recognizes hospitals for implementing policies that support breastfeeding mothers and promote healthy families and the Baby Place is at the forefront. Staff passionately supports the health of women and their babies. The key to this successful program is in educating women about the long-term health benefits of breastfeeding over infant formula, and supporting them through that process. This is accomplished through breastfeeding classes, lactation counseling, networking and support groups and informational luncheons. Educational classes are even offered to grandparents to further enhance the support system.
