Our Success Stories

The Foundation’s most recent emphasis has been the Caring for Our Community Capital Campaign which raised more than $1.7 million to support a $25 million, 65,000 square foot expansion and renovation of the surgical, outpatient, obstetric, laboratory, patient registration, and administrative and medical staff service areas. This new addition was open to the public in September 2009.

Programs supported through your contributions (With images of each and eventually video testimonials)

• Wellness on Wheels (WOW) – a mobile health clinic serving more than 5,000 persons annually.
• KidPower ENERGIZE! – a physician-referred program which engages children in a wellness program to promote the prevention of childhood obesity and Type II Diabetes.
• Preschoolers Reaching Educational Potential (PREP Program)– provides screening to all Henderson County children ages three to five prior to entering their first year of school to detect hearing, vision and developmental delays. The PREP program reaches 1,100 children annually.
• The purchase of medical equipment and important new technology for the benefit of Park Ridge Health.
• Straight to the Heart – a unique women’s cardiac health screening and education program that is the only program of its kind serving women in Henderson and south Buncombe counties. More than 1,000 women are served by this program annually.
• Facility expansion and renovation.
